There are many new features in the Microsoft Office 2007. Besides the new interface, this word program also come with the feature that help blogger. Using Microsoft office 2007 you can post directly to your blog. Now this office suite version has a features like windows live writer. With this feature you can create and publish your article to your blog without opening your blog using internet browser.
Microsoft Office 2007 support  6 blog platform,  Windows Live Space, Blogger, Sharepoint Blog, Community Server, Typepad, and WordPress. If you use one of the platform you can now easily posting to your blog using Microsoft office 2007 and you can use this program as alternative software to windows live writer.

  1. Write or open an article using Microsoft Word 2007.
  2. Click Office Button then select “Publish – Blog” to publish the article into your Blog.
  3. On the next steps will appear dialogue box to register a Blog Account. Click on “Register Now”  Button to set-up connections between  Microsoft Word 2007 and Your blog.

  4. Choose your blog platform then click next.
  5. Enter your blog URL in the Blog Post URL form and enter your blog User Name and Password and then click ok.  it’s will take a few second.
  6. To publish your article click Blog Post menu then click Publish.
If you want post an article again, you can click Office button – New then Select New Blog Post. Now with this office 2007 features you can post an article to your blog like using windows live writer. Happy blogging

Now Blogger have readmore feature like wordpress. We usually to add readmore feature in blogger using JavaScripts and some other hacks. Now as part of 10th anniversary of Blogger, the Blogger team add read more tag in Blogger blogs.

Import Blog Content from Blogspot to WordPress

Actually I want to try this wordpress feature has a long time ago, but could only try two days ago. I just bought a dot info domain name that I use to move my Blogspot blog to wordpress with selft hosting.  I think, to import the Blogspot data to wordpress it is very difficult but after I tried it very easy. I was thinking, why I do not recommend my friends who also moved their blog are on Blogspot to wordpress with self hosting. He moved the data one by one. You only need a few simple steps to transfer your blog from blogspot to wordpress with self hosting.
If you are interested to move/Import your blog from Blogspot to wordpress you can follow the following tutorial:
  • Login to your WordPress blog, and then click “Tool-Import”.  After that click Blogger link.
  • Click “Authorize” button
  • Click “Grant access” to allow your wordpress account accessing your Blogspot account.
  • Your blog list on your BlogSpot account will be displayed.  Click the import button on the blog that you want to import. Done. All data in your BlogSpot has been imported.
Sorry, I do not show screenshots of importing process data on my blog, because there are some important data and I can not show to the public.

How add Favicon to Website or Blog

Favicon is short for favorites icon also knows as website icon, bookmark icon or URL icon usually use 16×16, 32×32 or 64×64 pixel square icon. Favicon is a little icon that appears at the top of your browser when opening a website.
To add favicon to website or blog there are several ways, if u use blog platform such as WordPress you can use plug-in, other methods you can adding the favicon manually to you web by uploading the icon the your own hosting and place a small between <HEAD> tag.
What is the use of favicon on the website? The main purpose of favicon is creating the “brand” of the website and it help user to recognize the website.
How to add a favicon on website or Blog?
On this tutorial I just gave an example using BlogSpot and WordPress platform.
A. Adding favicon to BlogSpot
  • Login to your BlogSpot account,
  • Click “Layout” on the blog that will be installed an favicon
  • Click “Edit HTML”.  Paste the favicon code right after “HEAD” tag and save the setting. Refresh/reload you blog and you will see the new favicon icon on you blog.
B. Adding favicon to WordPress
  • This tutorial can not be used on blog on wordpress.com. You must have a WordPress blog with self hosting.
  • Login to you Blog, click “Appearance” then “editor”. Click “header.php
  • Paste the favicon code after “<HEAD>” tag and save the setting.  Reload you blog to see the effect.

  2. Click browser button to add an image/picture. The free favicon hosting support GIF, PNG, BMP and ICO image format and the image size not less than 1MB. After uploaded the image click “Upload it!”
